News Services

News Center

The Office of News Services is the primary link between the campus and local, state and national news media on programs and issues involving the CU-Boulder campus. News Services produces about 450 news releases, advisories and tip sheets annually and contributes to more than 10,000 news stories every year. The Office of News Services also maintains the News Center web site, produces podcasts on campus people and programs and produces the annual campus fact book and experts guide. See the CU-Boulder News Center for examples.

Just the Facts
The official fact book of the CU-Boulder campus, "Just the Facts" is produced by the Office of News Services in cooperation with the Office of Publications and Creative Services, both divisions of University Communications. The 32-page "Just the Facts" covers important facts and figures on student demographics, student programs, faculty achievements, research, teaching programs, diversity, outreach, budget information and other key campus facts updated annually to reflect new figures and programs. "Just the Facts" is distributed to prospective students and parents, faculty and staff, donors and alumni and other campus constituents. To request a print copy of "Just the Facts" call (303) 492-3113, or view "Just the Facts".

Experts Guide
The CU-Boulder Experts Guide is produced by the Office of News Services primarily for use by the news media. The Experts Guide is searchable by area of expertise through a listing of 65 subject areas, by department or keyword and by first and last name. It is available online to anyone who is seeking a faculty expert and can be accessed on the News Center web site by going to Faculty Experts.
