The marketing office uses available research to define primary target audiences, objectives, key messages and realistic tactics that are consistent with the allotted resources at CU-Boulder. Marketing is responsible for media analysis, selection, and purchasing. They analyze quantitative results for programs and adjust plans as necessary. Marketing interacts most frequently with the Photography and Publications and Creative Services offices in University Communications and relies on those units for editorial assistance, photo selection, design, editing and print production. Current recruiting advertising via Marketing includes regional magazine, local radio, regional outdoor and direct mail, as well as the web presence provided by Web Communications and collateral print materials provided by Publications and Creative Services.
