The traditional concepts concerning academic integrity are standards, cheating, plagiarism, fabrication, aid of academic dishonesty, lying, bribery, threat, and sanctions. Students should consult with their instructors regarding specific standards or procedures appropriate in each given field. Infractions of academic honesty policies are under the jurisdiction of the Honor Code Council, and are governed by the Laws of the Regents, Article 4a5 and 5e5 (b).

Airport

Denver International Airport (DIA) serves the entire metropolitan area. If you need transportation to or from the airport, you have several options including skyRide and Super Shuttle. If you pay full student fees, you can take skyRide free with your Buff OneCard and current RTD sticker. Super Shuttle, a private transportation company, picks you up at your door and brings you right to the terminal. Transportation information is available at the UMC second floor reception desk, at the Boulder Chamber of Commerce (303-442-1044), in the central terminal of the airport, or through your travel agent.

Alumni Association

Asbestos

Like most universities with buildings dating to the 1970s, the CU-Boulder campus includes a number of facilities built with materials that contain asbestos. To help in the prevention of unnecessary disturbance of asbestos, it is important for you to not disturb any building materials in CU-Boulder facilities. Athletics

As a member of the Big 12 Conference, CU-Boulder’s varsity intercollegiate athletics teams compete with Baylor, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, Texas A&M, and Texas Tech. Non-conference games are also scheduled every season. Spectators and participants can enjoy men’s and women’s intercollegiate competition in basketball, cross country, golf, alpine and Nordic skiing, volleyball, and indoor and outdoor track and field—as well as women’s soccer and tennis and men’s football.

Banking

When choosing a bank, take time to consider a few things. Many financial institutions issue debit cards for their customers to use at ATMs. Elevations Federal Credit Union ATMs are non-surcharging to members and are located around campus. Consult with your bank for their locations around town. If you’re making a purchase or paying a bill on campus, checks are usually accepted with two forms of identification (one must be a current Buff OneCard). Regarding Boulder Banks, to cash a check you must have an account at that bank. Make sure to ask your bank about overdraft protection as well.  Also consider banking at Elevations Credit Union, which is located in the UMC.
